       Most children are afraid of going to the dentist for several reasons, but definitely not Dra. Maria Victoria Ricafort- Miron. Ever since as a child, she had always dreamt of becoming a dentist. She always saw herself as a woman who will wear a white suit in the future. When she entered college, she enrolled in De Ocampo Memorial College and took up Dentistry to fulfill her dream. She graduated in 1987, passed the licensure exam and decided to put up her own clinic. Twenty-four years later, her clinic is still open to the public. Her dedication and hard work made her one of the most trusted doctors when it comes to Oral health care in her town.

 

       Most of her past patients keep on coming back because of her service. They recall her as a caring and sensitive doctor with a clinic that is clean and comfortable. She is also patient with children and so toddlers are not that afraid whenever they consult her. She also uses positive reinforcements like talking first to the children and assuring them that it won’t hurt so they will not be intimidated when consulting about their oral health. She also participates on medical missions to help those who can’t afford to go to dentists and considers it as one of her advocacies.

 

      Note: If anyone wants to visit her clinic, it is open on Monday to Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm and by an appointment on Sunday. It is located in Imus Road, Bisita, Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite. The services that are offered in her clinic are mostly: tooth extraction, tooth restoration, cosmetic, orthodontics, prosthodontics, root canal treatment and odontectomy.
